- Cut the tube square.
- Ensure the tube is free from burrs.
- Push the tube fully into the fitting.
- Check that the tube is securely locked in place.
- Your compressed air system is immediately ready for use.
Always use a suitable tube cutter instead of a hacksaw to prevent damage to the O-ring.
Installation tips
- Use a tube cutter, never a hacksaw.
- Do not file or chamfer the tube end to avoid damaging the O-rings.
- Always work cleanly: tubes and fittings must be free from dust and burrs.
- Push the tube fully home to ensure full flow and a leak-tight connection.
- For long pipe runs, allow for expansion loops. For vertical risers, secure the horizontal sections first, pressurise the system, and only then clamp the vertical sections.
- For condensate management, use water separators (e.g. PMTT22E) instead of creating a swan-neck trap.
